Half-Life

half life chibi

Characters from the original Half-Life (1998) A game that defined the rules of the first person genre with its numerous scripted sequences, original arsenal of weapons and somewhat story based level progression. The original Half-Life is widely considered to be one of the greatest computer games of all times.

to dig or not to dig

There is a high chance you'll be seeing more of this some time in the future.

Dweller Roguelike Sprite Set

dweller roguelike sprites

A Custom sprite set i made for Dweller. Haven't done anything sprite based recently so it was a nice change. By recent i mean  at least 5 years.

Later on I learned that the sprites used in Dweller were from a generic sprite pack made by some guy named Oryx. I thought the sprites were made specially for Dweller so I had modified some of the sprites instead of making them from scratch. If I knew they were generic I would have made otherwise...

Dig Dug Artwork

digdug fanart

Fanart for the 1982 arcade game Dig Dug. Developed and published by Namco in 1982 and outside of Japan by Atari. One of my favorite old games right next to bomberman.

Wikipedia says; "The objective of Dig Dug is to eliminate underground-dwelling monsters by inflating them until they pop, or by dropping rocks on them. There are two kinds of enemies in the game: Pookas, round red monsters (said to be modeled after tomatoes) who wear yellow goggles, and Fygars, green dragons who can breathe fire. The player's character is Dig Dug, dressed in white and blue, and able to dig tunnels through destructible environments. Dig Dug is killed if he is caught by either Pooka or Fygar, burned by a Fygar's fire, or crushed by a rock."

But the question no one ever asked is why? Why collect fruit for points and kill dragons and tomatoes who live thousand kilometres deep down? Fygar were probably dragon like creatures who started living underground to seek shelter from something (Humans and their machines maybe?) and in time they evolved and lost their strong physical forms and ability to fly. They experimented on fruit and plants, creating the Pookas to make them handle physical work as slaves, sending them above ground to steal more fruit to experiment on. As humans and their machines cover the world fruit (along with other plants and and organic stuff) becomes scarce so humans start sending hunter killer teams to eradicate these remaining dragons and their fruity abominations. Fruit brought back from Fygar nests will be the salvation for mankind. Yea... like... whatever...
